Lucas Hoge Opry Debut At The Ryman
Hot country vocalist Lucas Hoge made his Opry debut this past November at the Ryman Auditorium performing “Power of Garth” and “To Go with the Whiskey” just weeks after his new album Dirty South shot up to No. 1 on the Billboard Country Album Sales. The experience is one every artists aspires for and Hoge said, "This has been a dream of mine since I was a kid and to have it finally come true is beyond words. I’m grateful for the opportunity to perform on the most historic stage in country music where so many legends have performed before me. I will forever cherish that night. Thank you to everyone at the Grand Ole Opry for making my debut the best night of my career."
During the holiday season, the Ryman Auditorium hosts the Grand Ole Opry weekly radio programs again while other festivities are held at the Grand Ole Opry. The Ryman Auditorium is a historical landmark in Nashville, formerly known as the Grand Ole Opry House and Union Gospel Tabernacle, and today remains a live performance venue year round with amazing acoustics. This legendary venue captures the hearts of so many visitors and artists who perform there. Experience the soul of Nashville for yourself; go backstage, make a record or view different exhibits featuring the Ryman past.
Forever on display in a tile at the Ryman Auditorium will be a quote from Hoge and his thoughts about his Opry debut.
“I can’t begin to describe the feeling this amazing place brings into my heart. I am beyond honored and grateful to perform where so many greats have played before me. God bless the Opry.” - Lucas Hoge
Hoge has shared the stage with legends like George Jones, Rascal Flatts, Rodney Atkins, Craig Morgan and Hank Williams Jr. and released a brand-new Christmas album late 2017, Christmas Is Here, which includes the radio single “Home for the Holidays." His Christmas album included classics such as “White Christmas and “Silent Night” alongside four all-new songs, “Christmas Is Here,” “Ho Ho Home For The Holidays,” “Without Christ In Christmas” and “Baby's Got A Present,” which were co-written by Hoge.
Hoge’s friendly smile and personality makes fans feel engaged with his music. Because of this, Dirty South ascended to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Country Album Sales chart during its debut week. Whether he’s performing for troops overseas, sharing his love for the great outdoors with fellow sportsmen at a Cabela’s gathering or writing another song for a hit TV show, Hoge has that rare ability to find common ground with just about anyone and draw them into his world. As a passionate supporter of the U.S. military he has traveled the globe extensively performing for the troops visited numerous countries throughout the Middle East and beyond for the past nine years as part of the Wrangler National Patriot Tour. Hoge is also the celebrity spokesperson for Guardian Angels For Soldier's Pet. Combine all of that with his Midwestern charm and a work ethic that won’t slow him down, it looks like the best is yet to come.
Many artists spend months travelling and performing, but when Hoge does have some down time he enjoys the sites around Nashville and historic Franklin. One of his favorite restaurants in Nashville is Sinema, where he orders his preferred bottle of wine, Paramount, off the A List from Gamble Family Vineyards.
